The Syngenia team got the opportunity to attend a LGBTQ+ workshop with the Engie Group. We had the honor of receiving the French minister of diversity and equality and the CEO of Engie for the workshop.  This workshop is very important to us as we strive to make Syngenia a workplace where awareness and inclusion are at the forefront. There were many important topics covered, such as

  • The fundamentals of the ‘LGBTQ+’ terminology: the essential definitions of the terms  were explained such as bisexuality, cisgender, closeted, coming out etc.
  • Discrimination, harassment & misconceptions: the focus of LGBTQ+ in companies, implementing strategies and eliminating common misconception
  • HR department, managers and employees: what role does each play and what can they do
  • Legal framework: Protection of the LGBTQ+ community in the field of employment
